Older hotel, but reasonably well maintained & comfortable. Check in process took *way* too long. “Resort Fees” of $40/day are added (& have recently increased) to justify things that are normally included by default - such as room cleaning… Breakfast was very decent, but eating area placed tables too close together making it crowded/cramped. The dining staff also came across as very stressed out by this chaos.. Area around the hotel, including the Safeway that existed in the nearby mall is much like the rest of the city - going out of business/shutting down because of SF government challenges & effective legalization of theft Fishermans Wharf area and waterfront was surprisingly clean compared to previous years

Beautiful, short walk to the waterfall overlook. Go early - even on a Monday morning the parking filled up fast. Ewoldsen Trail from parking lot was closed due to fire damage. Be sure to pay for your parking! Ranger was patrolling and noting license plates!
