「The house was not very clean and is in need of decorating and updatingI did not feel comfortable using the shower due to dirt around tray and in the grout / tilesThe kitchen is looking very old and there were stains on the walls, top of the fridge and inside the cupboard that houses the cooking equipment whilst the cupboard for the plates, cups and glasses is bowed and does not look safe.There were also stains on the washing machine fasciaThe ‘porch’ is also water stained inside 」

「This little cottage is incredible! Absolutely beautiful setting, well decorated, immaculate condition and has everything you need at hand. The hot tub was perfect! The surprise addition of the homemade bread, butter, milk and eggs was much appreciated. We cannot wait to return 」

「I stayed in this gorgeous cottage/annex for one month.It is furnished to a very high standard and is probably the nicest place I have ever stayed for comfort, cleanliness and having every imaginable appliance in the kitchen.Everything is done with great care, the welcome hamper full of goodies, fresh flowers on the table., books, magazines, extra towels in the bathroom. 「the cottage was lovely the only nuisance was next door had 5 dogs which were noisy l did not mind much because l like dogs but for someone who wants a quiet getaway will not get it but the cottage was great.」

「A wonderful cosy, quirky cottage, deep in the Kent countryside. Ideal location for walking dog owners, a couple looking for a romantic break or friends. Perfect for a short winter break. Lovely log burner. Relaxing and peaceful. A word of warning, very steep stairs. Felt like we were on a boat at times as the floors upstairs slope so much. This place has real character though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, seeing the New Year in. Highly recommend.」

「4 night stay April 2026 (Sunday to Thursday) - accommodation very clean, comfortable and modern, hosts very welcoming - location peaceful (a few sheep and horses over the fence at the bottom of the garden, but no noise) and nice dark skies (I saw a few Lyrid meteors during my stay!). Great kitchen facilities (so you can easily self-cater if you want) and excellent shower, better accommodation than a hotel if visiting the area IMHO. Well located, Hastings, Rye & Great Dixter all a quick drive...

「The property and garden are perfect if you have a dog. If you don’t , its clean and not at all doggy! We’ve visited several times and love it. Good proximity to an unspoiled beach and Rye nature reserve.」
