Do NOT stay here! Baby cockroaches in some rooms.
The first room had water that was scalding hot!! Unbelievably hot where my 6 year old was in tears and crying. The staff and manager told me to bathe my kids and myself at the pool showers at night, on a different floor and a public shower. I was not letting my boys go into a public shower and sons should not be in the women’s shower. The manager came and after 10+ minutes of trying to find the right spot, he asked if the water was acceptable. If moved even a slight bit, it would be scalding hot again. That is how we showered the first night. It took hours to get my kids calm and go to bed. The next morning we were told to bring our luggage down and move rooms. Great…except we don’t have time to pack up, but we need to shower, so we missed going to the Blue Mountains!
We moved rooms with a working shower. The second room had cockroaches!!! I told the front desk and showed videos and pictures. They did nothing. I asked for a refund and a discount and nothing!

Excellent place for us to use as a base for vivisting Sydney for a short holiday. 5-10min walk from Redfern railway station meaning it was easy to move around the city.

The room was nice, but the pillows were very uncomfortable and the staff were not very welcoming. They didn’t acknowledge our special occasion, and we had to ask for drink vouchers that were supposed to be included. This is not a 5-star hotel. The room also needs maintenance, as the bathroom cabinet door was broken.

"The housekeeping staff do an amazing job each day and whenever we returned to our rooms they were spotlessly cleaned. Well done. Great hotel to stay. So close to light rail and the bar s and restaurants on site are superb. The Zephyr sky bar well worth a sunset visit."
