"The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I had called and asked if this was a casino hotel and the answer was “not really”. It is a casino hotel. This means smoking is allowed in the gambling areas. Unfortunately, the smoke smell permeates everything, the check in, the bar and cafe. By morning when you leave the smoke has made it into the hallways of the room floors. "

"I checked in early and the staff were very helpfully. They first assigned to me a second floor room. I went back and told them I used a walker. So they assigned me to a first floor room. . I room they assigned me was not ready. I talked to the onsite maintenance person. He told me to tell them that another room was ready. I went back and they changed my room right away. No issues. The room was great. The staff try excellent!"

"We stayed at Rustic Inn for a couple of days in June while visiting Great Basin National Park. Our host was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were recently remodeled and nicely decorated. Everything was very clean. Ely is just over an hour drive from the park, but it’s the closest town with a decent selection of restaurants and stores."

"The motel was pretty clean. Phone in the room did not work. TV was hard to figure out, but we really didn’t watch it that much. 😄 They have a small breakfast area in the office that had cereal, muffins, sweet rolls, fruit, coffee, tea, juice. This was a one time trip to Ely, NV, so I doubt that I will ever be back there again."

"Funky, with spirit! I love the fact that the new owners were up front about their investment in the older property and passionate about gradually bringing it up to speed. It’s a classic motel in need of care, which means in need of customers. The room was totally clean, easy access, and easy parking for a motorcycle. I’m sure I’ll stay again, as it’s on my US 50 route for road trips. Keep this one going!"
