Normal ck-in is 3pm, no? Had two rooms booked and arrived around 4pm and told “rooms not quite ready, need a few more minutes.” Many other folks in lobby told same thing. Three more attempts to check in but room not ready until after 5pm. Had asked desk clerk to call me when ready and never got a call. Once in rooms, one room was fine but 2nd room still had popcorn on floor. No offer for any discount or apology, or reason for late availability. No offer for late checkout either. Did not care for soap offered (personal choice), complimentary toiletries were quite small and one was half empty, vanity sink was slow when draining, noisy A/C and fan, no elevator for 2nd floor and no mention of such in website, poor lighting at inside door entry, mattresses need replacement, sides of mattresses were quite flimsy, low toilets. Did enjoy interesting memorabilia inside and outside grounds have interesting landscaping and lighting. Would NOT recommend and will not return. Sorry, wanted to like the Prospector but disappointed with whole experience. Don’t know if staff shortages were issue with rooms or not but if so, shame on Management. Worthy of improvement.

Liked the water pressure in the shower and the towels were fluffy and soft. Did not like the smell of the first room they put us in which had carpet and smelled horrible, gagged when we entered. We opted for a dog friendly room with a tile floor but did smell like a vet's office. although we did not have a pet, the pet amenities in the room were nice. We sprayed the room with an essential oil blend and it was ok. Very dusty, bed too soft and lumpy. Would choose a different property next time.

The Prospector was quaint and small, quiet and easily found. It probably hasnt been updated in awhile but it was clean. The bed was alright, the air-conditioning amazing. The restaurant downstairs had surprisingly good food and excellent service!

This hotel is two stories high but has no elevator so, if you have a disability or difficulty with stairs, go elsewhere. The casino smells like an ashtray, the Mexican restaurant on the property uses ketchup in the salsa, and there’s a lot of clutter in the lobby. The saving grace is the staff and housekeeping. Staff was friendly and housekeeping was prompt and professional. I do not recommend.

I enjoyed the Western themed pictures and art in the hallways. There is no elevator, so I did have to carry luggage up stairs. And the casino smells like an ash tray but luckily didn't smell it in our room.

Nice room, convenient parking. Great onsite reataurant with colorful Mexican decor. Gift shop and Casino on premises which provided a nice diversion while in a long road trip.

This place is a hidden gem with a very cool western theme—every wall is packed with vintage posters, artwork, and fascinating relics that give it so much character. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant served a fantastic breakfast—we liked it so much we came back the next day even after checking out! The location is great, and our room was clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. You can tell they’ve put real work and pride into maintaining the building. One of the best perks: the pool and jacuzzi stayed open until midnight, which was a perfect way to wind down. Overall, an A+ experience—would absolutely recommend and return!

Rooms were clean, service was great, cute little casino. Restaurant was good reasonable priced food and good service. Wonderful decorations. Enjoyed stay. Would definitely stay again.
