"This was a perfect spot for our visit to Naoshima. Very convenient location, charming and gracious hosts. The house is spacious with nice character. Hosts are very attentive. They provided transportation to the ferry port as well as e-bikes for our use. The bikes are highly recommended for museum/art house hopping. Very comfy beds and a kitchen stocked with enough food for a meal. A nice touch was the fresh flowers found throughout the rooms. Overall a very pleasant and friendly spot."

Firstly, despite providing excessively detailed information online before checking in (to help ‘save time’ on arrival), we arrived late at night after navigating very narrow roads to get there and were met with an electronic check in system that not only required passport numbers and SCANS but took photos of all of us including four children. "This is a beautiful old house, in a very pretty area. If you enjoy Japanese architecture this is a great place to stay. Our host went out of his way to make sure we felt accommodated and offered to take us to the beach and and drop us to the train station. "
