Good stay near the beach

Had a good night's sleep, despite a wedding party that was ongoing in the hotel (it's a large building). Room was renovated and comfortable. TV was a modern flatscreen, but the channels were old fashioned analog low definition. Across the street there's a nice beach.

Fra start til slut en behagelig oplevelse. Dejlig beliggenhed ned til Grenaa Strand og omgivet af store træer. Arkitektonisk perle (Friis & Moltke) med design møbler, spændende kunst og meget hyggelig atmosfære med bl.a. stor lobbyområde til hygge. Imødekommende og personlig betjening i receptionen, blandt rengøringspersonalet et smil, hjælp til at vise vej, om aftenen meget professionelle og herlige tjenere og om morgenen med 2 unge tjenere, som sørgede for den personlige betjening i restauranten. Dejligt værelse, opdateret og 100% i orden.

Skuffende hotel men skønt område.

Kysthotellet var en noget skuffende oplevelse i forhold til, hvor vi tidligere har været i samme prisleje. Kysthotellet lyder jo mega lækkert, men efter min mening burde det hedde Kyst vandrehjemmet. Det minder om et vandrehjem. Der var et skilt på værelset, at vi skulle give besked i receptionen, hvis vi ville have gjort rent, mens vi var der. Det skilt så vi først den dag, hvor vi skulle hjem. Så vi havde været noget forundret over, at der ikke blev gjort rent. Men dette er jo så vores egen skyld. Men selvom vi ikke fik gjort rent, så havde det stadig været rart med rene håndklæder og opfyldning af toiletpapir. I den periode vi var der, var der kun nogen i receptionen i meget få timer. Baren havde ikke åbnet, så drikkelse kunne vi ikke købe. Morgenmaden var super lækker. Men desværre fik jeg et langt hår i min bolle den sidste dage, så det tog en del af den gode oplevelse. Til morgenmaden var der lørdag en mand på arbejde, som var utrolig god og behagelig. Men de andre dage var det en ung dame, som så så sur ud, og var virkelig kort for hovedet, hvis man spurgte om nogle. Hotellet er et dyrevenligt hotel. Når det er det, så synes jeg ikke, at det er særlig optimalt at have gulvtæppe på på gangene ned mod værelserne. De gulvtæpper virker så ulækre. Hotellet er i det hele taget meget slidt, og vores værelse var meget mørkt. Men hotellet ligger i et fantastisk område.

Super til prisen

Hotellet har tidligere fungeret som kursuscenter, og er bygget i kvalitetsmaterialer og tegnet af fremragende arkitekter. Der er god kunst på væggene og en god stemning. Beliggenheden er i særklasse - cykel-, gå- og løberuter i plantagen bag hotellet og Danmarks bedste badestrand ligger lige overfor. Morgenmaden glimrende uden at være fantastisk; kaffen var god og der er god variation. Dog var brødet måske lidt kedsommeligt. Værelset enkelt men pænt og rent. Jeg vil klart anbefale hotellet - man får virkelig meget for pengene
