Waterfront! Brand New Cozy Cottage in Old Lyme, CT

10/10 Excellent

"Was the perfect place for a fall weekend trip!"

Old Lyme Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We came to celebrate our anniversary, ride the Essex Steam Train for dinner. This was the perfect spot. We were in room 4 on the first floor, I have some physical issues and the first floor with a ramp to the entrance made it so I could actually help bring in our bags. The room was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace was my favorite feature. From the pics you would think the shower was a tub shower, it was actually a big shower that had a 6-8 inch step over. We had very nice views when we were in the room. The chairs in the room were very uncomfortable but we didn’t spend much time in the room. There is no coffee service in the rooms or in the lobby for early morning coffee.thats a bummer but Dunkin is a half mile away. I would place my order on my phone each evening and we ran for it early in the morning. We did fine in the restaurant once for brunch and once in the evening for coffee and dessert. The food was good and so was the service. There is a nice library/lounge that is very welcoming, lots of books, games, comfy seating."

Luxurious midcentury modern glass house in the woods, chefs kitchen & great art

10/10 Excellent

"This was a very beautiful home surrounded by the woods. We were here for a long weekend and were able to spend a good amount of time here. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the place. there was not a speck of dust anywhere in this home. The bedrooms were perfect with large rooms, great beds with good mattresses and baths had very high quality soaps, lotions, all bath products. The kitchen is the heart of the home and this was so true with this home. The kitchen had anything and everything for cookware, strainer baskets, cutting boards, great knives, so many dishes, all matching, very nice appliances, and huge prep area. They have a wonderful supply of tea bags, a large supply of different spices, sauces, and oils. Our host Christoph was so easy to get in touch with if we had any questions; he also texted if everything was ok, any questions , perfect host. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much! Liz C"
