「I really loved the property. I loved the balcony off our room with beautiful views. The room was very nice and the bed comfy . It was good location for us. Only thing that would have made it perfect was a pool that was warm enough to swim in. It was freezing! So I could not use. But the hot tub was lovely 」

「The pool area is unique and fun with a large Baja ledge and permanent sun loungers in the water. It is clean and inviting. Staff are extremely accommodating, anticipating your needs and helping whenever the can. The Apex is fun with unusual games for adults and kids and the 3 level go cart ride is wonderful! There is even a level of nonsmoking casino. The restaurants offer a nice range of choices at reasonable prices. Can’t wait to return. 」

「Great historic property and central to everything in Placervile. Old building, so heat/cooling is tricky, and with hard wood floors, it was a little chilly but extra blankets provided. Squeeky floors, loud door and old windows with lots of street noise, but all to be expected. Well equipped and fun to stay at such an old hotel with so much history. 」
