「This is a 170 year old hotel with an elevator from the 1920's and it does show its age but it's conveniently located right on the main street going through the tourist destination of Placerville. Acceptable cleanliness and staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor and carpeting and fixtures showed a significant amount of wear.
If you're looking for the fun and the ambiance of the town it's good - if you're looking for a hotel comparable to Marriott or Hyatt it's not in that category.」

「We appreciated the comfort of the room. There is a small creek running behind that was nice to listen to at night. The main room and bathroom were clean. The bathtub was clean. We did get some ants pretty quickly in the kitchen area with a sandwich on the counter. Otherwise, everything was comfortable.」
