「Appalling customer service! We had planned a short break to visit friends in Filey at the beginning of August 2026 and made a reservation almost 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, a family member was rushed into hospital just before the planned weekend and we had to cancel our trip. I wrote to the hotel via the Hotel.com messaging facility with apologies for the cancellation and enquired if they were prepared to provide us with a credit for a stay in the near future. We heard nothing from the hotel, so...

「Room wasn't serviced - breakfast expensive - asked for poached eggs which came and tasted of vinegar - asked for fried eggs which came and yokes burst and hard」

「Lovely quiet accommodation just a few miles outside Scarborough good breakfast owner very friendly would recommend this B&B」

「The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, very nice staff. The location is gorgeous with easy access to the centre of Malton. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. Only negative was mold in the bathroom, apart from that our stay was perfect!」

「Great place. A few minutes walk from the main lodge where you leave your car. There is a parking bay to unload your gear if required. Note there is no lift so not suitable if you have walking difficulties. Nice modern room with big bathroom. Tv is tiny」

「The staff were very profesional and very helpful. The hotel was very expensive for the dated decor and chipped paint and cleanliness wasn’t great The furniture was very dated as well.」
