「Breakfast options were varied and parking was easy and plentiful. Door to the outside at the end of the hall (1st floor) was loud though.」

「I enjoyed my stay at the Clinton Motel. The room had everything I needed for my one night stay. The front desk personnel were helpful and courteous. 」

「I was first placed in a dirty room but they were very quick and efficient to move me which was great b/c I don’t like first floor rooms. In my second room on 2nd floor the window lock was broken so I couldn’t lock it. Uncomfortable but being in 2nd floor helped. Clock in the room nor working or unplugged?? Just used my fon for the clock. Breakfast area very clean and orderly and good. Parking lot had potholes but they were there fixing them today. Staff VERY friendly!!! 」

「The first unacceptable problem was that the property is NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE!! The second issue was that the property listed many amenities on Expedia that DID NOT EXIST!! I specifically booked our stay for The Arcade,Gift Shop, vending machines,and expected the breakfast buffet to be like the pictures that were posted!! Not even close!! My advice from this experience is to call the property first before you book it!! Especially if you have children!!!」

「The negatives: the pillows had a bit of a smell (not the cases but the actual pillows); the bathroom smelled like it had been cleaned with a dirty sponge. The positives: the floor is laminate and so no icky carpet; the bed was comfortable and clean; heat/ac worked great; I felt safe there; it’s away from the noise of 95. This motel is really on par with the others in Old Saybrook. Alternatives are more expensive.」

「When I arrived this hotel, I told and showed my dog to young reception staff. And I signed agreement document. But 11:00 p.m. I was called that I should pay pet charge right now from other rude reception staff. I will never stay such rude hotel any more.」

「When you walk in it stinks , pool wasn’t heated and they had no breakfast on site . Wanted a refund and staff refused. I got no accommodations or discount from property and after i give up with the pool staff than came to turn on heat too pool . I was very upset kids was cold I had to find other things out side of the property to entertain my kids .」

「Checking in was a breeze. Luisa was very helpful and so friendly. My room was amazing and the bed was so comfy. I think what ultimately made my night was the text from Luisa, checking in to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything. That definitely made the experience and the decision to stay the night, the perfect choice. I will be booking a room here in the future.」
