"Excellence Suites was in a great location, close to all forms of public transportation, plenty of shopping and restaurant choices as well. The rooms and facilities were clean. The bedding was comfortable and we did not hear any noise from other rooms. The water pressure was not great depending on the time of day, but this would be the only complaint. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would stay there again. "

"The staff did a nice job accommodating our last minute addition of one person. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. It was a bit of a long walk from Venezia station. The water buses were so slow that we walked everywhere after boating to check in the first day. When i go back i will hotel between Rialto and St Marks. "

"Once at the property our stay was good. Being immediately near the train station was very convenient but felt a bit unsafe on the street. Walked 2 blocks and felt safer, so the convenience outweighed the unease"

"The hotel is very European and has antique charm. The elevator is very tiny and only works with folding doors closed. Only one person at a time with luggage can fit on it. The manager Huliette was awesome and very accommodating. "

"Good position near to Popolo Piazza. Reception guy was very helpful. Was fairly noisy due to the marble floors and on our final night/morning the next door room played very loud rock music until 1:00am and started again at 8:30am. "

"Excellent location a few blocks from the Spanish Steps, shops and restaurants. Good size room, full bathroom, whimsical birdcage elevator to get upstairs, and a private entrance (green door right in the middle of restaurant outdoor seating) to enter. All for a fair price. My only critique is that the walls are not terribly soundproof- there was a guest next door who woke up each morning hacking up a lung to the point of vomiting, and it was a daily alarm clock. But likely just bad timing being...

"We had a small apartment for four and liked our stay more than we thought we would. Very good location in a very old hotel tower with just the basics and sparse furnishings but very clean and organized. If you've seen old movies and seen sparse but efficient apartments for rent in Europe where you have to drag your luggage up some marble stairwell, well this is it, at least ours was like that. We only stayed 2 nights but they thoughtfully provided free snacks and bottled water everyday. Rosa...

"The Arpinelli Relais is a guest house built in the 16th century. It is very historic and located in an excellent gentrified area of Rome. There are many shops and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. The staff is welcoming and very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay there."

"Room was really nice and clean. The staff was great. Breakfast included a variety of breads, meats and cheeses, yogurt, juice, a coffee machine, and fruit. The breakfast room was clean and I loved being able to have breakfast until 11:30 am. This place is a great value with comfortable beds, a/c and I would definitely return. "

"The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds and were very clean. The colosseum is just down the street so we went back in the evening to see it lit up. NOTE that there is only someone on duty during certain hours so make sure they’re there when you want to check in!"
