"I thought this property was great! All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was good as well! It was perfect for our honeymoon. Iñake with Costa Rica unique experience was great! We booked three tours through them & it was amazing!! The location is a bit secluded, but if you’re looking for a quiet spot this is great! There’s a few great restaurants nearby."

"From the minute we walked into the hotel, we were treated like queens and kings. The entire staff was attentive, kind and friendly at all times. We had a dilemma with our rental car company and the staff at Papagayo Golden Palms helped us by shuttling us to our tours. The entire staff, Mauricio, Natalie, JeJey, Andrea, Sergio and a few more were great! I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!! The premises were beautiful, quiet, serene and very clean. Treat yourself to the wonderful hotel!"

"Great location close to the beach and with a beautiful view of the bay. Nice patio area to relax. Gated resort with guards at both entrances. Extremely safe feeling. Only down side is that the houses are close together. There was also some confusion with the check-in. I’m new to renting from VRBO and didn’t know I needed to contact the host before arriving. "

"We spent a month at this property. It was comfortable. Nice pool area with lots of shade. Great community pool as well. Easy drive to amenities in the area. The BBQ is located downstairs at the pool and was not very convenient for cooking evening meals. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again."

"1. We had an issue as soon as we got to the unit with bug infestation. The management company offered to fumigate but we decided against this because of the chemicals and health reasons. They did provide bug spray that we used on a daily basis. It was minimally effective and very bothersome. 2. We had an issue with all 3 showers. Once again, the management company was very responsive and tried to address the issue right away. Unfortunately, it took numerous visits and the problem was never really resolved. It was very intrusive having the plumbers in our unit for an extended periods of time. We were given various reasons for the issues including property water pressure issues, calcium deposits, and mechanical issues. Also, there was limited hot water because of the size of the tank. There was only 4 of us in a 3 bedroom unit but we still ran out of hot water quickly. 3. There was a washer and dryer in the unit but it was not made available to us. 4. The tile floor was extremely dirty. Our socks were filthy after walking on the tiles for a short period of time. 5. The bedspread in one of the bedrooms had numerous stains. 6. The unit had minimal dish towels. 7. The bugs were crawling out of the electrical outlets and appliances. 8. The unit was well supplied with dishes, pots, pans, etc. 9. On a positive note, the management company did provide 2 free cleanings because of all of the issues. "
