I enjoyed it definitely get what you pay for and everything was delicious especially for an all inclusive. the property was very calm and the beach was so beautiful. Can’t wait to visit again

Honestly we had a rough start to our trip due to the check in process. We were given a hard time about paying through Expedia using Apple Pay even though it was our debit card. And even though our debit card matched the Expedia receipt and passport and ID, we still waited over an hour after traveling all day to only be told me must cancel our reservation and wait 20 days for a refund and rebook.. which most people don’t have the luxury of doing and to be told that after we arrived wasn’t fair. After arguing at the front desk for a while that everything matched up to my passport and ID ,we were finally given our room key. It was disappointing because we planned to stay at RIU due to the amazing staff in Mexico. The resort itself was nice but did not compare to the other RIU resorts around. If you are wondering which one to stay at I recommend RIU Bávaro or Palace way more. Being an adult you can walk over to Macao for drinks and etc at night if you really wanted an only adult scene. They have more food options, bigger pools, and larger resorts, and more staff. Checking out was also disappointing. We were greeted with a smile that quickly turned to attitude and eye rolling at us simply because we left our towel card in the room on accident, which truly is not a big deal at the end of the day. Safe to say we will not be returning to RIU Macao and don’t recommend. We didn’t feel welcome here.

Perfect Family Getaway! Barceló Bávaro exceeded every expectation! The kids absolutely loved the sprawling pools and water slides, while the adults enjoyed the pristine beach and endless entertainment. The only challenge was the language barriee but we were able to still communicate and I used that opportunity to learn some Spanish. The all-inclusive dining was impressive — plenty of options for even the pickiest little eaters. Staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making every family member feel special. The rooms were spacious and spotless. From the kids' club to the nightly shows, there was never a dull moment. We'll definitely be back — this resort truly knows how to create magical family memories!
