Great value in Düsseldorf!
"This hotel was modern and very clean. It was close to a rail station on the line to the airport and reasonably priced. The bed was firm (common in Europe) and had crisp linens. We really thought this was a great value!"

Nice and quiet place.
"The hotel is amazing and service from staff is also amazing. I like how the buttons in the room control the lights. I like the surrounding area as it is so peaceful and you get a bit of nature as you walk to the nearby stations which is also a short walk away."

Other neighborhoods around Duesseltal

Back in the days, when #punkrock was still dangerous, the #Kiefernstraße in #Düsseldorf was an infamous street to walk on.

"Those days are long gone“, says Frank, the dude who delivers the heating diesel to a couple of houses on the block. I had offered him one of my genuine handcrafted Italian cappuccino to kickstart the conversation, but he’d declined with a broad smile across his face and countered, that he’d just finished his 20oz trucker coffeemug. That must’ve been the reason for him being so talkative, or maybe the fact that he’s riding by himself nowadays and the tenant who was supposed to sign the bill of delivery was a no-show. „you know, boy“ he said „back in the days when we would pull around the corner into this street people would be cheering us a welcome“. Ya right, I was trying to imagine how that must’ve looked like: a bunch of angry kids and young punks who haven’t slept in three days straight getting all happy for the diesel boys?

Anywoo, Frank seemed to sense that doubt in my eyes so he added „when I rang the doorbell I had to watch my head because almost instantly someone would drop a rope down from a balcony above“. They pulled up the diesel hose to fill up two barrels large with the heating fuel. Frank explained that the second diesel boy meanwhile had to stay inside the delivery truck so it wouldn’t get stolen while he was hooking up the hose to the rope.

„Those days are long gone“ he repeated with an ambiguous smirk on his face. „When punk rock was still dangerous“, I thought. Nowadays the old folks live in regular tenancies and not much happens around here anymore. Except maybe neighbors calling the cops or fighting over music being played too damn loud or even arguing over paint being spilled all over the sidewalk and everywhere. I signed Franks delivery bill, took my cappuccino cup back inside my messy place and sighed as I dialed my doctors phonenumber. I’ve been wanting to talk to him about all this and what not. Just being alive and love to give. Thank God, I’m a cuntree boy. Yip, that’s meh.
