"The Madison Hotel was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone."

"This hotel was highly unsatisfactory and, in my opinion, should not be advertised to potential guests in its current condition. A significant portion of the property was boarded up, and the areas that remained accessible were in a notably poor state of cleanliness. The images presented on the website appear to be outdated and do not accurately represent the current condition of the hotel. The reception area had food residue caked onto the work surfaces, suggesting a prolonged lack of proper cleaning, while the corridor carpet was heavily worn and visibly unclean. In addition, the room itself had a persistent and unpleasant odour. The condition of the room and its facilities was equally concerning. The door did not lock, requiring me to secure it with a chair for safety. Furthermore, the light switch and air-conditioning system were not functioning. Despite booking a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of cannabis in the corridor, and ongoing disturbances from other occupants made it impossible to rest. As a result of these issues, I chose to leave the hotel in the early hours of the morning. I would strongly advise prospective guests to visit the property in person prior to booking, as the advert is misleading and the overall condition falls significantly below reasonable expectations."

"Upon check in we were put in a room that hadn't been cleaned later to learn that the property doesn't offer maid service or any room cleaning over the course of a stay even if requested per "hotel policy" which i was never given. We stayed 4 nights and didn't have dirty towels removed, garbage removed, fresh towels, or bedding for the entirety of our stay. To say we were frustrated would be an understatement. To make matters worse, the "bistro" in the lobby had no workers and I didn't see anyone being served over the corse of our stay. The AC in the fitness room didn't work making it great for hot yoga but not so great for anything else. I'd give zero stars if I could. Do not recommend."

"The tub stopper was not functioning properly, which made it difficult to use the tub. Additionally, the battery-operated door lock failed during my stay. I would have appreciated more complimentary personal amenities in the room, such as a shower cap, cotton swabs (Q-tips), and mouthwash. The bathroom could also benefit from additional towel racks or hooks to provide more space for hanging towels. Finally, the lobby coffee was self-service, yet it cost $5.00 per cup and included an expectation for a tip, which I felt was excessive."
