「This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. Hot shower is a must for me after a long flight and it is there. 「This is a very interesting place set in an 18C mansion. The owner is very friendly and gave us a tour of the historic public rooms. The room was huge, very well heated (it’s January) and comfortable. The lovely garden under lemon trees was charming. Nice breakfast served in the sumptuous ballroom.」

「We had a lovely week-long family stay at SHoruq. The rooms are new, spacious, and the beds are very comfy. The staff is the highlight—they were so friendly and even left breakfast out for us when we missed the morning service. It’s a bit of a drive from the main attractions, so I’d suggest renting a car, but the hospitality is 10/10!」
