Our stay at the Ryokan Tsuchi to Ito was nothing short of a dream. The ryokan itself is beautiful with gorgeous details and comfort in every corner. The host, Kimi, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and provided wonderful recommendations as we spent our days exploring Nagano. La Neige is a great hotel, the staff is perfect, I want to come back, the premises are beautiful, so elegant, and at a good price, there’s no onsen, but no problem, there are options a few minutes away, and the hotel have an excellent transportation service. I definitely want to come back. 5 stars

The front desk agents were super kind and helpful. They both spoke English. We needed that. Bountiful and delicious dinner and breakfast buffets were included. Our room was amazingly well appointed and large. The king bed was beyond adequate. It was two full sized beds bound together. We hope to return to this property some day.

Private retreat nestled in the woods of Karuizawa! Wonderful host - very friendly and attentive. Our visit in June was right before their hydrangeas blossomed….i can imagine it would have been even more magical!

Lovely hotel short walk from Nagano station. Staff were incredibly helpful. Easy walk from hotel to the main area for restaurants and shops.

The room was spotless and comfortable. The staff was amazing! Very. Courteous and helpful the moment you arrive. The station is a within walking distance which is helpful if in a rush.

Beautiful 5-star hotel with excellent staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet was outstanding--definitely worth the money! Location is perfect--right outside of Nagano station (5 mins from train to hotel lobby). I'll stay here again for sure!

A 5 star experience in a wonderful wooded area of the city. Striking design and great ambience combined with top level amenities, excellent food and friendly staff make the stay at this hotel an experience that I will always remember. Get ready to be spoiled when staying at this hotel! Part of the amenities also includes plenty of parking and a free shuttle service to the train station.

The Dormy Inn in Nagano was an excellent value! The location is first rate - less than 10 minutes walking from Nagano Station. The Inn has wonderful amenities - an indoor/outdoor onsen. After onsen free ice cream snacks. A very tasty breakfast including Japanese and western cuisine - the quality and variety was great and the price was reasonable. This stop in our trip was a favorite, small quaint city. Lots to do, could walk everywhere, no problem. will definitely go back to Matsumoto. The hotel was centeralized, clean, friendly, just what a traveler looks for at day's end.

This was our second time stay, and we loved everything. The breakfast was excellent, but one foreign stuff member's sleeve was too short and the bottom was undone. The staff were friendly, though a few foreign staff members had difficulty understanding my questions in Japanese. This hotel is excellent, that is why I believe the customers would expect them to speak Japanese language in native level otherwise it will affect the longtime hotel history.
