「Generally a value-for-money hotel. While the public areas were immaculately maintained, the room we were given could benefit from a makeover. For example,the small seating unit was broken at its l-shape join. Also, an ironing board was provided, but no iron. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, though a bit reminiscent of a roadside cafe ie not in-keeping with the hotel's image - though reasonable considering the price」

「Lovely situation - large room that was clean. However walking in it felt quite down at heel, a bit like a scruffy airport waiting area. We ate in the restaurant on arrival - the food was edible. However, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were welcoming and attentive.」

「Upon first entering the reception is nice. It looks to have had a recent refurb. The receptionist was welcoming. We were given a room on the third floor, there is a lift. The layout of the hotel was like a rabbit warren a confusing at times, but we found our way around. Upon entering the room it had a lounge, bathroom and bedroom, which would have been lovely. 「The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. 「I paid for an executive room for 3 nights, it wasn't what I was expecting, really basic, no extras, not even shampoo. Bed was rock hard. No restaurant, even though it says there is one on the building, the £11 breakfast was cereal yoghurt and fruit. Staff were helpful, in the first room I was assigned the toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet... They moved us to another room, but it really wasn't a good night's sleep. Told them my unhappiness and they gave us a refund on the other 2 nights...
