Victoria Falls through the mists in the low season. Seeing the famed Victoria falls from the Zimbabwe side was something that had been on my bucketlist since way before I even knew what a bucketlist was. I never really thought I would make it to Africa but often dreamed of it. I just put up my blog post about my experience there. "This was out 4th visit to the Victoria Falls Waterfront. The welcome is always exceptional - warm and friendly. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The pools are clean and inviting. The bar and food are run to a very high standard. I understand that the lodge is owned by the company which provides safaris and other activities in the area so booking these is easy. We have now done a walking safari 4 times and see and learn new things each time. Cannot recomend this place enough."

"The welcome was amazing which my children loved and appreciated a lot. I am a Zambian who has lived and given birth to my children abroad. This was the first time I brought my children (24, 22 and 8 years old) to Zambia to fully embrace the culture and Avani gave us that. "Very large property, very well maintained. Room was large and clean. A/C worked great. Selelo was our host; very kind and attentive. Assisted us with booking events. Accompanied us a a boat safari. Food was excellent. Game drivers: Lesh and Jinx went above and beyond to try to meet our every request. We were lucky enough to see nearly every type of animal in the park. Highly recommend this place. "

"Excellent stay, wish I could have stayed longer. All the staff were very super friendly and I enjoyed all the activities included. The rooms were special, really enjoyed the plunge pool and outdoor shower. The air conditioning worked well and made the sleep comfortable. "If you're a hostel traveler, this place is amazing!! We loved it... from the accomodations to the central gathering place, the food and friendly staff, the ambience and security measures, plus walkable to Vic Falls. As with most anywhere, could use some upgrades, especially in the few ensuite bathrooms (and maybe some pop-in screens for the windows to allow enjoyment of the cooler night air), but even the least-best about this place was acceptable... and the best-best more than made up for...
