「The check in process was terrible. The gentleman was not friendly at all. I was paying for all 4 of our rooms and he said I could not check anyone in. He had to see my husband and all 3 of my kids. I understand he had to see their license but it was the why he did it. He said I couldn’t do anything he could only deal with my husband and he was very rude about it. Then once everyone was checked in, we were all on different floors. I had called the hotel and asked for us to be all on the same...

「The place has a nice cabin style feel and is close to all the trails, and the small town area. More importantly, it's close to Ester's a fantastic little Mexican restaurant.」

「Given the history and age of this hotel, it has its quirks. Rooms are not your standard, cookie-cutter layout. But it is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was very helpful. Note there isn't a restaurant in the building currently, but there are several options within one block. The hotel's proximity to Soo Locks is probably it's most desirable feature.」

「夕方からの雨で何度か停電になった。2、3秒の軽いものだったが2時間後、雨も止んで夕陽が射し込んできた頃本格的な停電になった。ホテルの周りの建物は停電みたいだったが、道路を挟んだ向かいの建物からは全て電気が点いていた。 復旧しないのでしょうがなく寝たが、隣のドアが開かずに怒鳴っている人がいて怖かった。(電気ロックなので) 夜中に突然電気が復旧してビックリして目が覚めた。」

「An older motel that had a facelift inside and out! Better than most hotels that I ever went to!」

「Hotel and pool were great, the sauna didnt work though. Breakfast was good. It was a nice little hotel.」

「Had to call/stop at front desk multiple times before more towels and toilet paper were brought over to us. Seemed very unorganized and unprioritized. We had bags of trash sit outside the door of our room for more than 24 hours and they were never picked up. Alright for the price, but definitely need to get more housekeepers to be able to take care of the Superior Place side of the parking lot. Decent breakfast.」

「Positive: Front desk member very helpful. Negatives: First room smelled like a wet dog. I was moved out of that by the kind front desk person. The remodeled rooms are very bland. The lighting (exclusive use of white lighting - not soft) coupled with the white paint (walls and ceiling) gave it an institutional feel. A bit over-priced as a result. Nothing exceptional stood out. I will not choose to stay there again.」

「Our toilet was broken along with a broken chair. The whole facility seemed to be poorly managed and maintained. The room fees were way out of line with what we expected.」

「Cool funky vibe, roomy, nice amenities, walking distance to hiking trails (bring your bug spray and net this time of year) that go on for miles, slept to the sound of the elusive whip-poor-will call and woke up to the meep of the woodcock. My kind of place. Thanks Jason!」
