「You get what you pay for. For the price we paid, the guest house served its purpose. The room was fine, but the best bit was proximity to airport- we could easily jump on a bus and be there within 20 minutes.」

「ロンドンブリッジ駅から国鉄で南下。 週末は電車の本数も少なく、ロンドン中心部からはそれほどアクセスがよいとは言えません。 しかし駅から近いのがメリットか。 朝食は冷蔵庫にある玉子、ハム、チーズソーセージなど自由に使って自分で調理することができます。 時間に余裕がある方にオススメかと。 周辺はハラルフードのお店が多く、モスリムの方が多い地域のようです。 」

「The house has rooms which are let and reminded me of a hostel. The web description of what I paid for did not tally with the room I was offered. I found I had a room on the second floor with an en-suite bathroom, an air conditioning unit which was not working, but a fan which was. The bathroom was well ventilated by a Velux window. The communal areas and staircase were not smart. The room was clean and had a kettle, tea & coffee etc. Given the price relative to local hotels it was OK for value....

「Too many notes telling you not to scratch things. It was nothing like as described on website. Spoon holding the window fastener, other windows held together with duck tape. . Felt damp in there so needed heat. Bedding wasn’t Egyptian cotton, bottom sheet was pea green. Tap just dribbled water out of wash basin. Lane and track down to property was terrible, full of holes. We didn’t stay for breakfast or to sleep there.」

「ギルフォードのハイストリートにある風格漂うプチホテル。 駅からも徒歩10分以内。スーツケースを引きずっても苦にならない距離でした。 お城、サリー大学、美味しい飲食店、お洒落なショップ、スーパーも徒歩圏内でギルフォードの全てを踏破できました。 ホテル内は貴族の館のような雰囲気です。 重厚な家具に、お花がいたるところに飾られていて、大変きれいに保たれていました。 お部屋も大変広く驚きました。 裏部屋でしたが、窓も大きく、明り取りも十分です。 お紅茶なども色々おいていただき、とても楽しめました。 お湯が出ないコメントが散見されましたので恐れていましたが、私の滞在中は、火傷しそうなくらい熱いお湯が十分に出ました。 おぞらく、ロンドンですと、3倍近い宿泊料金なるかと思います。 スタッフの方もどの方も大変親切で、気持ちよい滞在となりました。 ギルフォードへ行かれる方には、ぜひお勧めしたいです。 」
