"Hotel was a little older. They recently acquired the property and have done an amazing job. Staff unbelievable, room was updated and excellent. The breakfast everyday is absolutely spectacular. I would highly recommend and will be booking it again. Did I say the location couldn’t have been better."

"Shops nearby were helpful. Super close to a big Macy’s that had food options and in walking distance of a Trader Joe’s. The pool was under maintenance while we stayed which we were not informed about before hand. That was disappointing. "

"Location is excellent! The room is spacious and clean. Water pressure in the shower is very good, however the sink faucet the water is very slow it was a struggle to wash your hands! "

"Easy to get to from Bay Bridge. Parking is easy with valet (which is around 95$ a day after fees). Lobby is nice with a clean and timeless environment alongside infused chilled water and apples. There is a small restaurant/bar that has the basics. Guest rooms are clean and well managed with housekeeping. A negative star for me was the lack of a refrigerator, water, and basic necessities in the room without having to call the lobby and await. We couldn’t get a fridge which was pretty crummy as my spouse is type 1 diabetic and it causes highs and lows of which we needed food. With that being said there also isn’t a vending machine in the ice rooms or on any floor for that matter. The fitness center was nice, basic no frills or thrills but did have everything needed… except there wasn’t any sanitation wipes or sprays which I found very gross. Pool is not on site. You can get a voucher for YMCA 5-6 blocks away. - which let’s be real a pool just isn’t a necessity for the financial district of SF. So it’s fair. They offer a small discount for two restaurants across the street called the Vault. One is a steakhouse and one is a garden style cafe. Overall I would most likely return. It was a pricier option considering the competition of hotels in the area but it was nice. But the fridge, snacks/vending machine/waters in room, need to definitely be corrected "

"Always a good experience at The Marker. Easy, prompt, and polite check in which always leads to an enjoyable stay. The lobby and grand staircase is always an experience and elevates my stay every time. Appreciate the VIP perks, sad a room upgrade wasnt available, the suites are always a nice treat! Rooms can be on the smaller side and don't always come with a view, but the unique decor and layout allievate any space issues. Close to Union Square, BART/MUNI, and various restaurants. "

"The location and hotel itself were great. Check in was a breeze and we appreciated the waters we were given. We had alot of fun. Unfortunately the next day when we got our car back from the valet someone had stolen both our sunglasses from the center console. We know SF is notorious for car break ins but thought our stuff would be safe if not out in the open and in valet. Guess not. Overall though the stay was fine but loosing over 1g in a night sucked. "

"Hotel and staff were excellent. My first only complaint is about the shower. It’s an over the tub version with a shower curtain. A hotel of this caliber should have walk-in showers. The shower head was fixed and not adjustable, which made it impossible to stay out of the way when it turned on…and sprayed everywhere."
