Travelers who fly to Key West arrive at the Key West International Airport (EYW) located 2 miles east of downtown. Six airlines fly into EYW, including low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines, which makes it easier to find a great deal on flights to Key West, particularly from cities like Orlando and New Orleans.
EYW is extremely convenient as a small airport, but it offers everything you need as far as amenities, including a number of eateries, gift shops, and a great bar if you want to relax and sip a refreshing beverage. Flights to and from Key West make it especially easy to get in and out, with short or nonexistent security lines and rarely a long wait for baggage.
Key West flights also provide passengers a number of transportation options once on the ground. Taxi service is readily available and public transit is cheap and convenient. Rental cars and private shuttles are just two of the other options, and many of the higher-end resorts and hotels offer complimentary shuttles to and from the airport.
