"Ideal for shopping. Although parking was limited at the hotel, there was parking fairly opposite. Couldn't fault the staff, they were very friendly and accomodating."

"Reception was great: staff helpful and efficient. Parking was adequate. We were given a free upgrade and I’d recommend the room with access to the veranda. Bed was very comfortable. The evening meal was slightly disappointing. However, it didn’t warrant a fuss. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Alfriston is a small Town with several restaurants and bars. Also, a few shops. A short walk to the Church and Clergy house to visit. "

"Wonderful stay just 15 mins away drive from the cliffs, Val was so attentive and also was really kind to give us an upgrade spontaneously. This is a must if you travel around these areas and want to find a relaxing time."

"I am a regular at this pub and love the ambience food etc. but The rooms weren’t ready as a cleaner was ill. It is a great place but the room was not up to standard. No heating at all and it was a chilly night. It is overpriced for a pub with rooms. Some decoration is def needed and some TLC. Will go back I am sure "
