The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't curbed our appetite for exploring. Here are some tips on how to navigate travel's new challenges:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before committing to a flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as mandatory quarantining.
• Requirements state you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it straight on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now allowing passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will have to be removed from your bag for scanning.
• To minimize handling during screening, place personal items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.

As countries begin to open their borders, most airlines are back in action with new strategies including physical distancing and an increased supply of face masks, gloves and sanitizer. Here's what some carriers are doing to help stop the spread of COVID-19:
