"After staying in a few hotels near Times Square, this is our favorite! The location is PERFECT!!! The icing on the cake includes: the great free breakfast and the kind, friendly and professional staff — which includes everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the kind folks working in the dining rooms. "The location is the best thing about the property. The hotel is dated and needs upgrading. The bathroom had fresh, visible stains on the wall which was an indication that it isn't cleaned well. I was told that a room was available for check-in @ noon and when I arrived it was like I was forced to upgrade due to the front desk knowing that I was ready to settle in. I was told that I was getting a great view in the best room available. The view was horrible and I was charged an additional $40/night, which did not suffice @ all. I wouldn't return nor recommend. Well, that is if someone prioritizes location over amenities & accommodations. "

"Key cards are unreliable. Apparently they are replacing the system, but for now very frustrating. Staff is (mostly) accommodating."

"When we arrived at the hotel, a bellman offered to take our luggage and store it for us as we arrived early and the room wasn't ready. After we placed our items on the rolling cart, gave us a valet ticket to use to retrieve our bags upon our return and he said he might not be there when we returned for our room and held out his hand, asking for a tip. We gave him a tip and when we returned a few hours later, he was there, walked us back to an unfinished room and told us to find our own bags. When we went into our room, it was close to 80 degrees with no way to turn on a fan or change the temperature. We went to use the bathroom and hang a towel on the towel rack and the rack literally fell off the wall. When we called and asked for maintenance to come look at the room to address the temperature, the maintenance staff Said that the whole building was still in heat mode because the whole building had to be switched to air conditioning mode and that there was no option to adjust the temperature and each room. He then proceeded to open our windows and put a box fan in our window to help 'cool' the room. Please keep in mind we're on the 22nd floor and there are no screens in the windows! We are traveling with two children and I have no idea how this is even legal with the tremendous risk a child being able to fall out the window!"
