「This was our first stay at a true BnB and The Smugglers did not disappoint! The hosts are kind and welcoming with plenty of local recommendations on activities and restaurants. The location is scenic, the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. Would highly recommend to others!」

「We had a really lovely stay at the Cart Lodge in early October. The hosts kindly left us some local bread, eggs, jam and biscuits which was a lovely welcome. Everything was very clean and well looked after. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and warm. Firewood had been provided, however we didn't need to use it. TV had lots of options. It would be nice to have an earlier check in time than 4pm, but everything with the property and hosts was fantastic. 」

「Staff were very nice and helpful. Coffees and teas available all day which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was really good, (compliments to the chef) and the hotel entrance is decorated nicely. However the room was dated and disappointing. Cleaniness is not a priority unfortunately. The towels were stained, the bathroom door would not close, bathroom curtain was stained, hairs in the bathroom and on one of the towels, bathroom sink had a crack in it and one of the taps was broken, cobwebs and dust...
