"Lovely rooms and pub, with great food and menu"

"A fab quiet spot with everything you need to enjoy a chilled break away. We found the accommodation perfect for our needs, which was a break not far from home with the pooch and baby. The facilities were great, I really liked the large, well heated pool, that's rare to find, especially at this price point. The small dog area, play park, games room, kids play room and cinema were all well done and had plenty to keep families busy. The local area is great for dog walks, lots of foot paths to choose from and much industrial history to find hidden around the area.All in all, really great, the only cons were the pillows, we both struggled with them but we are snobs for nice pillows so perhaps not a reasonable complaint.Will certainly go back and consider using this place in years to come for low stress holidays in the UK."

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Couldn’t fault anything! The place is stunning, the put is oldie/homely/rustic fab. Staff absolutely lovely, drinks great such a variety, food so delicious and a great variety. Rooms absolutely beautiful loved it. Comfy bed, warm rooms decorated so beautifully. Breakfast was amazing, menu so chose what we wanted but asked for omelette which was not on menu and was told not a problem and anything else you want our lovely hostess said just let her know. Car park huge, park for children. Lots seating. Will definitely return."

"The service of the staff was excellent and car parking is free. However, the plug sockets next to the bed required moving the bedside tables, so if you want to use any electrical devices whilst in bed, you had to use the sockets across the room. The toilet positioned in the room were too close to the wall and the handles to open the windows were loose and call fall out anytime. "

"We used the house for a belated Xmas family gathering. There were 11 of us. The house was very clean and very big. It had games, a pool table a hot tub and a barbecue. That entertained us so much we almost couldn't be bothered to go out sight seeing. In summer you would be able to sit out in the garden but this was January and rather rainy.The only glitch was the first two cars to arrive couldn't find the house. We used satnavs and Google maps. The main road was very busy. Once we had worked out it was between two Chinese restaurants and had black and white posts outside it we were fine.The teenagers were delighted to have a room with a double bed all to themselves. The kitchen, two living rooms and the barbeque hut were big enough to hold our whole family comfortably."

"Comfortable rooms and nice kitchen for tea and breakfast. Grocery store 1 minute walk away. No soap was provided though and there was inadequate lighting in the room."
