Broomlea advertises as breakfast included but as it turned out, that does not extend to a cooked breakfast, which is £8 extra. Should have been declared up front... Otherwise, comfortable, clean and very quiet. And, the cooked breakfast was very good too !"

"Hotel room was clean, modern, had a true king size bed, and the private bathroom shower was truly relaxing! The hotel restaurant serves fantastic food. However, the bar only served Bud draft and a Thai draft beer. I was at the VERY LEAST expecting to be served with a local Scottish beer — huge bummer! The Mercure Hotel is located in the middle town, a one minute walk to Victoria Market— huge plus!"
