Excellent location next to subway station, very convenient. Room is a bit small, but it’s comfortable, clean and bright, with no smell. I also stayed at Westin hotel nearby, which is terrible due to the smoke smell in the room and mould in the ceiling.

I’ve stayed at many properties in Beijing over the years and I’ve come to make the Kempinski my top choice. Its location is great and staff are great, but it also has combination of classic elegance and quality that many other hotels lack. It’s not ostentatious, but everything is super high quality from the breakfast to the rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful and I like that is in the river. My only suggestion are that the beds could probably use new mattresses. But they are still quite good.

Wonderful hotel, amazing staff very helpful. Very convenient. Close to the subway easy to get transport. My only issue with this hotel was the air air-conditioning would never get cool. It felt like it was standard and it is really hot in Beijing.

We stayed here in 2024 and 2025 on holiday. It is an excellent hotel with many international guests and well equipped for business due to its location. The receptionists speak English well. Gym is small but has sufficient equipment. Extensive variety of food for breakfast. The most popular hotel restaurant appears to be Paulaner. Room service is prompt. The cakes at the deli are delicious. We will certainly be here everytime we are in Beijing.

My first stay at Kempinski, Beijing Yansha

I stayed twice, June 29 and July 7, 2024. Both times I did enjoy my stay. All in all the services were excellent and the attitude, as well as friendliness of personnel, made me feel like I knew them before. Breakfast and food at the Italian Restaurant were superb and delicate. Unfortunately, the Wienerschnitzel at German Beer Garden & Cafe was not quite fresh, but still enjoyable. Ivy at the Reception gave me the best advice and directions for Beijing. Thanks

Great surroundings, but problems persist

I stayed the place because of the surrounding environment, good place to walk around in the back of the hotel, lovely and renovated outdoor place is a great attraction. The hotel’s management team is a huge disappointment, guests smoke inside the rooms with doors open which the entire hall way was filled with smoke, guests smoking in the bar/coffee, I reported to the front desk, with little result. I understood there are always small groups of people destroy a culture of good behavior and concern of others due to their ignorance and stupidity. These selfish and idiotic people don’t deserve the facilities. However, I think there is fundamental problem from the management team, I travel a lot, but only in China, I see people smoking in hotel rooms and hotel public facilities.
