YIKES! This property is not ready to be an option
I want to preface this review by mentioning that I’m from a big city and accustomed to the expectations that come with that. Additionally, we are dog people.I was shocked by the state of this property, as I would have assumed Vrbo maintains certain standards for its listings. This property should not be listed as an option. Cleanliness & Condition:•The walls,doors, and baseboards are dirty.•The entire house smells of dog urine, with visible stains on the carpets, living room rug, beds, and couch.Misleading Description•The property is far from "amazing."•Walking anywhere is not practical or safe—day or night.Security Concerns:•The exterior of the townhouse is run-down and poorly maintained.•The third-floor door opens onto the back with no gate or security.•A small tent encampment sits just off the back pavement, raising safety concerns.Check-in & First Impressions:•The lockbox, attached to the porch railing, was at an awkward angle, causing the key to fall out. Given the porch’s open slats, we were lucky it didn’t drop through.•When we entered, the balcony door was wide open, and the house was freezing; it took over four hours for the house to warm up to 60F.Lack of Essentials:Be prepared to bring everything you might need for a stay. The house is barebones and does not include:•Basic kitchen supplies•Extra paper towels or toilet paper.•Adequate towels—only four bath towels and washcloths were provided. No hand towels, bathmats, or floor towels.
