"For my money best hotel in London. First, location. Right near Buckingham Palace. We walked to Piccadilly, the theaters, Kensington Palace, and the St. James area (Lovely Jermyn Street!!) With no problem. Victoria Station right around the corner. Second, the physical plant. Absolutely lovely in every way. Third, the staff. Simply the best, most helpful, charming staff I have encountered. Fourth, the food. The Michelin rated restaurant soars!! Don't hesitate. You will absolutely love it. "

"Hotel RIU Victoria was perfect for using public transportation to get to football stadiums around the city, including Émérites, Tottenham, and Chelsea. We were able to visit all the historical sites easily, as well, because of the hotel’s proximity to Victoria Station. The neighborhood was safe, day and night, for walking to the theater and restaurants. The staff was remarkable for their help when our flights were canceled due to a blizzard in Boston. "Lovely spot in Belgravia, near Victoria station and about 20min walk to Buckingham Palace. I had a single room in the attic with a cute little bathroom - it had everything I needed. There’s a specialty shop B&S across the street for well priced salads and to go items. The Buttery is perfect for breakfast! It’s very central and was perfect for my 2 nights."

"The Guardsman is in an excellent location short walk to Westminster Abbey & Parliament. Lovely decor, comfortable beds, very nice staff. Many restaurants nearby, best was Buckingham Arms pub around the corner, fabulous food. "

It was simply a great stay and one which you would expect for a high end 5 star hotel in London. We have stayed at the Dorchester, Savoy, Claridges, Goring, Mandarin Oriental and the Ritz, and we think we like the Peninsular hotel room the best so far. "
