"Elevator stinks! Staff were nice but place is old."

"When we first got to the hotel, Alph Tan was there to check us in. Additionally, he offered us many places to visit and was overall very friendly and approachable. The room was also well maintained. Each time we got back to the hotel at night, the room would always look brand new, thanks to the room service staff, Firdaus. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Hotel was approximately 15 mins walk from Paya Lebar MRT Station (change at Tanah Marah from Changi airport). Arriving at 9 am I expected to leave my luggage at Reception but was told I could have my room straight away which was a bonus as usual check in time is 3pm. I was able to sight see and return to room around 2pm for a rest and shower. Lots of affordable, interesting restaurants for dinner close to hotel. The Receptionist organised a taxi to the airport (cost around $22 S) at 9pm which arrived promptly. As this was only a short stay between two long flights, the hotel was ideal, clean with good facilities and much cheaper than an airport hotel. Room small and no window (less noise?), but good value. I would probably pay more for more comforts if on a longer stay. As an older woman travelling alone, I felt safe in the area and appreciated the 24 hour helpful staff on Reception."

"The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and the blinds make it possible to block out daylight so that you can sleep after a long flight. The air conditioning is just right. The staff are most efficient as well as being kind and helpful, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. Looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommended."

"Hotel 81 Changi suited my needs very well. I was passing through Singapore, having a 30 hour layover. My room was not large but was clean and quiet. The hotel is located about 400 metres from a metro station which in turn is about 20 minutes from the airport. The front desk staff were very helpful."
