"I loved my stay here and I wish I had thought to stay here the previous night as well. It's right by the train station, so it's very convenient. The staff were incredibly kind and I really enjoyed my check in experience with them. The western-style rooms here look comfortable but a little outdated in decor. However, I booked a Japanese room and I was assigned the 和室B, which is the bigger of the two the hotel has available. It was absolutely gorgeous! Very spacious. Beautiful view. And very affordable. I'd definitely stay here again."

"The Mizusawa Grand hotel is a great place to stay if you’re traveling to Oshu city in Iwate. Located less than five minutes from the train station, it’s easy to both have a car or use the trains to get to other places and you’re centrally located in Oshu. Plenty of things around, and the hotel itself has nice interiors and rooms. "
"The room had its own hot spring and living area, making it feel just like home—perfect for a relaxing stay. I also appreciated having access to the laundry facilities and massage chair. However, the two golden lion statues at the entrance were a bit intimidating."
