Dark Horse Ranch is a custom single-story home on five open acres, a former horse ranch with the space, quiet, and dark skies that make a desert trip feel like a real getaway. Everything is on one level, with no stairs, so it works for every age, and there's room to gather and room to spread out, inside and out.

SPACE FOR EVERYONE: sleeps 8, all on one level 2,395 square feet, in rustic earth tones with high ceilings and ceramic-tile floors: • Master suite: king bed, ensuite bath with a claw-foot soaking tub and a separate tile shower • Two queen bedrooms: sharing a Jack-and-Jill bath (tub/shower, two sinks), a private mini-suite for a second couple or the kids • Flexible fourth room: a desk and a pull-out sofa, with a third bathroom (shower) right alongside Three baths in all.

GATHER & RELAX A living room with large leather sofas, a piano, a TV, and a wood-burning stove; a separate game room with a pool table behind double doors; a Jenn-Air kitchen with a walk-in pantry and dedicated freezer, set up to cook for a crowd. Central A/C and heat, Wi-Fi throughout, and a full-size washer & dryer in the laundry room.

FIVE ACRES UNDER THE STARS A large fenced yard, front and back patios, a stand-alone BBQ, and a stone fire pit, wrapped by five open acres and a windbreak of pines. This is dark-sky country. After sunset the Milky Way comes out over the mountains, with nothing but desert between you and the horizon. Room to park large vehicles, RVs, and trailers.

CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, FAR FROM THE CROWDS Ten minutes to groceries and big-box stores in Yucca Valley, fifteen minutes to Joshua Tree National Park, and twenty to Pioneertown, Pappy & Harriet's, and the Integratron. The Johnson Valley OHV area is about fifty minutes out; Big Bear and Palm Springs are an hour down the grade
