"Great view, classic charm, and excellent service! I had a lovely and relaxing stay. The room featured a deep bathtub, crisp clean linens, blackout curtains, and a pleasant river view. Staff service was excellent—the receptionist thoroughly followed up on my booking’s F&B credit, and I was grateful for early check-in and a 1:00 PM late check-out. The breakfast buffet was solid, especially the fresh omelets and miso soup. The wellness facilities were a highlight: the jacuzzi had a great view with nice water jets, and there were complimentary teas and hydration stations in the pool/sauna area. Note that the pool has a glass roof, so visiting in the early morning or late afternoon is ideal to avoid direct sunlight. The property shows its age slightly, but the public spaces have a wonderful, timeless classic style. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!"

"The room was very clean and comfortable, but unfortunately, for some inexplicable reason, there was a problem with the water in the bathroom. I was unable to shower or even flush the toilet and spoke to reception about the problem. They were very apologetic and offered me the use of another room. They also offered me a free breakfast. I was appreciative of their efforts, but asked to speak to a manager when they were available. I received a call later in the morning and discussed the matter with the manager. She offered her sincere apologies and assured me that I would be looked after when I next visited the hotel. I cannot fault the manner with which this unfortunate matter was handled, and would definitely recommend the hotel for those travelling and in need of the convenience of public transport and/or passage to the airport."

"The reception staff at check in and departure were fantastic. The young lady who looked after our check out was able to offer us a discount after I listed off the issues with the room. 1. No skirt around the bed base 2. TV did not operate properly it would switch off after a few minutes. Apparently a known issue. 3. Room was not serviced even though extra towels and pillows were delivered. Apparently you need to put out a swing tag to have the room serviced. 4. The pillows initially supplied had zero support whereas the extra ones supplied were fantastic supportive pillows. 5. Getting a drink at the bar was nearly impossible as staff kept disappearing out the back for 15-20 minutes at a time. 6. There was a pile of sawdust at the bottom of the bathroom door from where it rubbed. 7. The initial towels supplied were almost threadbare whereas the extra towels supplied when requested were fantastic fluffy towels. 8. The 2 prints on the walls were hung on an angle that was visible without using a level. Other than that the location is fantastic and if these few things were taken care of we’d stay there again."

"Pool and spa were great our apartment was clean. You could not connect the Tv to our Netflix was coming up that there is no internet connection so that was really disappointing. Distance to the main street was only a 15 minute walk. Only disappointment was, when we checked in we were told that check out was changed from 11.00 am to 10.00 am and world not extend the check out to 11.00am even though check in is at 3.00pm and they had plenty of time to clean after we checked out."
