Excellent
I finally got to see the beauty of the lake, but only on my last day. There was rain all week, which was sad, but when the weather is nice, it is breathtaking.

Good
Pleasant area, with lovely views, and enough eateries. But town itself, was fairly forgettable.
"Very clean and very comfortable. Great for tourist who don’t speak Japanese. A little difficult to find it and the walk from the station was a bit longer than expected but still good!"
"Stayed here while my travel companions climbed Mt Fuji. Excellent location for getting to mountain and wonderful onsen for those not doing the climb! Very good breakfast options, helpful staff, comfortable beds. Lots of parking available and views of Fuji!"
"The room was spacious (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) and clean. The beds were big but a tiny bit hard. The breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive choices both Japanese and enough western food options for our picky family :). I enjoyed the Onsen a few times and the location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from Gora Station with direct access to the Hokane-Tozan railway and Cable Car (to ropeway). I would recommend this to all my friends visiting this area in the future. "
