"When we arrived to check in at the hotel, there was already a different customer in the room. When we went back to the main lobby, we had to wait in the lobby for over an hour before the staff got us a room. They did not provide updates either. They just asked us to wait. Any update they did provide to us was provided in Japanese and they clearly knew that I could not understand Japanese. "This is an old school honestly, but with nicely separated living spaces (shred bathrooms). Not squeaky clean, and a bit outdated…but human and not without charm. The owner is a super courteous dude. You may need a car as it is a few kilometers 40 minute walk from the train station. The payoff is the silence and chill vibes out here. I enjoyed my stay. "

"Room was clean so can't fault them on that but it's a very dated hotel. It is okay just for sleeping in as the location is extremely convenient, right opposite Shin-Yamaguchi station so easy to get to locations such as Hagi Castle Town and Akiyoshido Caves. Free Breakfast was included but the offerings were basic in my opinion so I didn't go back after the first day."

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was exciting and delicious, and the decor was creative with plants, travel information, and themes of Okinawa. Great for young or independent travelers who like a taste of multiculturalism. My parents in their late 50s also loved it and found it entertaining.
