Perfectly pleasant flat- not Boutique but more ‘home from home’. What let it down most was no reply to the 2 emails I sent ahead of my stay- one via Expedia and the other direct through the actual flats website. Also when we got there I phoned the number which I found on the flats’ website and it went to an answer machine with a message with a number said hurriedly for a mobile which was the ‘bookings number’. It took 10 minutes for them to call back.
So where I stayed- the shower curtain needed replacing, one of the wardrobe doors looked like it had been melted, the TV in the lounge is too high on the walk to watch comfortably and the coffee machine kept leaking. Oh and the dead plant ie all leaves withered and brown in the lounge. Bathroom ceiling paint was peeling.
Pluses were location, reasonably quiet, clean, felt safe.
Ways it could have been improved- communication and booking in, would have been useful to have some contacts etc in the ‘welcome file’. Might be useful for the owners to try staying in for for a night and spot check the glitches.
Seriously a few tweaks and this would earn the title ‘boutique’.
