Unfortunately we didn't find the staff at all helpful. The continental breakfast was poor ... Soggy pre frozen pastries in a stained picnic hamper. However the roo. Was clean and tidy and bar well stocked.

Bed was comfortable and parking was just across the street. Would not stay in the summer as it would be noisy. Shower was good but could do with a good clean as lots of mould on the grouting

Gorgeous historic pub with lovely rooms.

I stayed in the King John room. Had a double poster bed and a lovely bathroom. The pub has loads of character and the room was very comfortable. A picnic hamper for breakfast was lovely.

Lovely old (Tudor?) building with traditional wooden features, heaps of unique character and a charming pub on the ground floor! Staff were friendly and efficient and the standard hamper breakfast brought to the door on time. No parking as located in city centre but therefore walkable to many touristic amenities and facilities. Would happily stay again and recommend to others.

Very nice rooms in a characterful old pub. Good breakfast, great cask beers and very nice staff. The room was a little hot given the warm weather, but a small price to pay.
