The basement apartment is sleek and modern, and all the kitchen amenities we could need were in good supply. Figuring out where to enter the apartment (from the back of the house, down a narrow gravel incline) took us a few minutes, but we got in the apartment without great difficulty. The carpet is stained. Light patches all over it but it was clean. The upstairs neighbors are noisey. I would like to see mattress protectors on the bed rather than just the thin sheet over the mattress. We felt ssfe it was a nice neighborhood.
