Relaxing getaway

They had everything we needed for our stay and were the most hospitable hosts! The property was beautifully landscaped and had a small chicken coop! We saw deer in the backyard a couple mornings. It’s in the country but very close to local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there!

Wonderful spot for a quiet stay!

While my stay took place in the midst of winter, this was still such a lovely property to enjoy and provided much solitude. My guest and I loved the fire pit and just walking outdoors with my two dogs. The beds were probably the comfiest that I’ve ever slept in! Jeremiah and Victoria were fantastic communicators as well. I did a good bit of work from home here and the Internet connection was rapid speed.

A little slice of heaven

Jeremiah and Victoria’s property was tranquil and peaceful which was very needed. My daughter adores chickens and loved being able to see the Golden Hokies every day. We’ve been vacationing in VA Beach for 8 years and I believe this is by far our favorite stay. The hosts were very communicative and I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you very much for a lovely vacation!

Our relaxing time away from home

Our family had a very nice time staying at your place. The place was very quiet and relaxing. It was very clean and had everything you needed at the place. I like seeing the golden girls (the chickens) during the day. Getting around was good. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A paradise away from paradise

This place was a hidden gem. The host, Jeremiah was extremely responsive, kind, and overall amazing! The golden Hokies (chickens) were adorable and the property was quaint and had everything we needed - from beach chairs, to coolers, to bug spray. Which was a plus! The farm fresh eggs and wine were an amazing touch. We absolutely loved our short stay and recommended this spot for a getaway. :)

The Perfect Getaway

My family and I had a great time staying at the SeaBoard. Hosts Jeremiah and Victoria were very welcoming, on top of every need and provided some wonderful welcoming touches upon our arrival. The seaboard is a super comfortable stay (we were there an entire week) and close to the beaches and endless dining and entertainment options. My family and I frequent the Sandbridge area whenever we have the chance and would certainly love to stay at the seaboard again in the near future. :)

Great Accommodations in a Heavenly Hideaway

Jeremiah and Victoria are wonderful hosts, generously sharing their little slice of Heaven amid the hustle and bustle of the busy metropolitan area. The location is central to everything, an easy drive to the oceanfront, yet tucked into a sweet little pocket adjoining a nature preserve. With 2 acres of well-kept, open yet private land, a gazebo, a fire pit, and ample outdoor seating... it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy some down time. They have also generously provided beach equipment and games for guests to use. Accessibility is a major factor for us. This property has a flat entry and no stairs to navigate, with a wide, open great room. Even though it is a walkout terrace-level apartment in the hosts' home, it felt very private. Jeremiah was very open and engaging, very welcoming and available when needed, yet not intrusive at all. We felt very comfortable in this setting. We loved having the chickens close by, and we loved the half dozen eggs the hosts left on the table for us on arrival. We are from the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area originally and travel there to visit family/friends fairly often. We would definitely stay again, whenever we are not in our RV. We would highly recommend this property and appreciate the great stay!

Peaceful and relaxing

We rented to be close to our son and his family while visiting. We chose Seaboard because of its location, it was close to Sandbridge beach also. We loved how peaceful and quiet it was in the country. The fresh chicken eggs were a nice surprise and very appreciated. If we need someplace to stay again we would definitely rent from Shefields again.

Peaceful getaway

It is a special place away from the busyness of virginia beach boardwalk, yet less than 20 minutes from tourist attractions. The owner takes excellent care of the property inside and out. If you are a bird watcher, this is your place. The owner is friendly, supportive, and thoughtful.

Stay here!!

This property is tucked away in a quiet, gorgeous part of VA Beach / Pungo. My wife and I booked it so that we can stay here while we held our wedding. It was a great choice. It's close enough to everything that you never feel like you can't go to whatever activity you have scheduled for the day. It's also far enough away that you don't have to deal with beach traffic or rowdy crowds and loud noise. The host was both super accommodating and also invisible. He made sure we had everything we needed but also never got in the way, intruded in any way, or made anything difficult. He was very understanding of people popping in and out for photos, hair, makeup, etc. for our wedding day as well! I'd highly recommend this spot to anyone. Next time around, we'll be staying here again!

At home feeling

Outstanding is an understatement. Everything you will ever need and more is at hand. The location is amazing, somehow quiet and peaceful in the middle of VB. Close to anything you need and the beach. It was nothing short of awesome, we will be back!!!

Peaceful stay just outside of the busy city

From beginning to end this was the best rental I have ever experienced. The owners were super accommodating and delightful to work with. The facility was clean and comfortable and everything we needed to have the vacation we wanted was available. The property chickens made the place feel even more like home as they clucked in the early morning and were often seen out and about snacking in the yard. I would stay here again and again and would recommend to all of my friends.

Quiet private get away!

Spacious, very clean, thoughtful extras to name a few. Everything you could think of for the beach for you to use, wine and of course fresh eggs from the chickens that stay tucked away on the property. We have a lab and there was plenty of room to release all of his energy for a peaceful nights sleep. Hosts were great, very friendly and letting us have time to ourselves to relax.

Relaxing

We booked three nights for my daughter's gymnastics competition. I wanted to stay away from the crowded beach area, and the Seaboard was perfect! My girls loved getting to feed the chickens, with the owner's permission, of course. There were lawn games, board games, and just about anything you could think of to have some nice down time as a family. My favorite part was having a relaxed environment in a gorgeous space, along with some fresh chicken eggs! We will be back!

A country vibe

Great place to relax with our dog! Seems like your in the country, however close to all the conveniences. Jeremiah and victoria are very gracious hosts! We love watching their little guy JJ wondering about. The chickens are fun to watch also! This is our second visit to visit with family in Va beach.

Great Spot and location!

Enjoyed the time! Was a quiet property that was shared with the owner but still had plenty of privacy. I really enjoyed watching their chickens roam around their backyard. Close to the beach and beautiful Pungo country trails! You get to experience the REAL Virginia Beach from here away from the tourist locations of the oceanfront. Owner was also accommodating to changes in the original reservation! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
