Good location right in front of West Exit of Ikebukuro Station. My single room was very spacious compared to other hotels I stayed in Tokyo.

Hotel is like less than 5 mins from the correct exit. Super convenient. Ikebukuro is a good base to go to places like kawagoe and kamakura, minus the frantic crowd like tokyo, shibuya etc. On yamanote line, hence easy to go Ueno, tokyo station etc. You can take the airport shuttle bus ( willer express) very near to Ikebukuro stn. Peaceful corner of the station and yet you can shop at ease at Tobu ( close at 8pm) and Seibu ( close at 9pm). Quite many eating options surrounding, just round the corner is an eatery that sells fantastic grilled fish. Family room (4pax) faces directly against the station and you can hear the vividly, though i am a light sleeper, it did not bother me at all. We are usually so tired every day after walking. Room is slightly small. 2 individual beds against one corner, another is a pull out bed and sleeps 4. Room is quite dusty though, usually see dust when you flip the blanket. There is a table with no chairs, hence have to stand while eating or eat out. Appreciate the room's heater ( heater and aircon 2 in 1). Makes the room bearable in this winter. Blanket is very warm too. Bathroom and toilet is together, hence slightly inconvenient for 4 pax. Very value for money as we book below $200 for a night. For the convenience and value, we are willing to overlook the small inconveniences and be back again for this hotel. Thank you staff

This hotel is definitely situated on the sketchier side of Ikebukuro, but it's right by the WE Road and the NW entrance to the station for easy access to the other side of Ikebukuro and the rest of Tokyo. Would gladly stay here again, and most likely will.

Nice hotel near Ikebukuro station
Hotels is a block away from Ikebukuro station exit 20A. Ikebukuro station provides access to many subway lines,JR lines and Seibu lines. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. Hotel is quite small and has a restaurant which you can buy breakfast for a fee. Room was small but efficient and had a small refrigerator and kettle. Walls are a bit thin as you can hear people moving in the next room and you hear the sound of the rail lines which begin running around 5am.

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location. It’s a very simple hotel but had everything I need. Being close to the station, the trains can be pretty noisy and I could also hear people talking in neighboring rooms. Luckily noise doesn’t bother me so I slept well and would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay, all the staff where helpful and very friendly. I would return in a heartbeat. The hotel is right outside the train station, so it’s the perfect location to stay and travel from.

A very good hotel
Location is very convenient, staff are nice! Recommended! But the short staircase (with 8 steps) at the hotel entrance makes it a bit less convenient when you’re carrying a heavy luggage.

Just close to station but surrounding area is junk. Even Reservation made with non smoking room, I got the room which they said non smoking room but full of gross smoking smell. When I talked to counter service, they argue with me about smell and finally they gave me air filter and freshener. Unbelievable experience at that hotel sun city. I love Japan from my bone but that hotel owner is not a traditional owner. Hotel service counter will give 25 cent of water bottle to Japanese customer but not foreigners. ( I saw with my eyes and I also can speak 50% of Japanese language) That hotel make business with their own customer but not for US customer)

Depending on the accommodation reservation plan, mineral water is offered as a privilege. Mineral water is not distributed to everyone. It does not distinguish between Japanese and foreigners.

Right next to Ikebukuro train station. Conveniently located near the hub of shopping and eateries. The hotel staffwas kind enough to hold onto our luggage as we traveled and returned to stay at their hotel at the end of our trip. Small room but space was used efficiently. I would stay again.
