"We loved our stay at the Rakuro hotel in Kyoto. It is a beautiful space with lovely rooms and peaceful communal spaces. The lounge is a lovely place to sit for a while after a busy day in Kyoto. The staff is kind and helpful as well! We enjoyed breakfast one morning as well. While it was a bit pricey it was nice and filling."

"This is one of the few hotels that contacted me about a problem with the reservation. When traveling with children from the US, Expedia should add that children in the US is not the same as in Japan, in every hotel I had the same problem, the charged me to change my room, and it ended up being really expensive, like the charge was for another room instead of just adding a person (my daughter is 15), when this was the sites fault not mine. In this case, the hotel emailed me before I arrived to make the new reservation, and I appreciated it that. "

"Spacious room (we had the junior suite?) that fit our family of four. Excellent customer service. Quiet area about five minute walk from subway or 25 minute walk to more commercial district. Lovely small restaurants in the neighborhood. Coin laundry on site was a nice bonus! "

"Super comfortable and clean experience with the Trinity location. Everything worth checking out was very walkable save a few of the larger temples. The in-house restaurant and bar was perfect for what we needed, and the staff was very kind and knowledgeable. This place made us never want to leave kyoto!"

"great location (close to station, centre and was quiet), friendly and attentive staff that was available 24/7, buffet was delicious (japanese and western menu), spacious and clean room, goodies available (hair tie, pocket hairbrush etc… and appliances to to borrow like iron and nightwear etc…), laundry and drying machine available 24/7 and free drinks available from 12pm to 10pm. overall, great hotel, i recommend. "Beautiful hotel. Super clean and beautify transitional Japanese decoration. Staff is nice and friendly. Only problem is that it’s not too close to San Jo and Si Jo which is city centre. But Kyoto is pretty small. One way taxi is about $15 AUD. "
