「This is a lovely hotel with fitness club, golf course, etc.. We didn't use any of these as we were just passing through. Very nice room and surroundings. One thing could be done to improve the experience - clean the upholstery on the chairs in the breakfasting room.」

「We had a lovely stay at Cuckoo Cottage and would happily return. The location is excellent for exploring the Peak District, with beautiful walks straight from the doorstep, including Lathkill Dale. The swimming pool was a real bonus after a day of walking, and the games room was great fun, with pool, table tennis, darts, giant Jenga and other games available. 「The property has great character and the potential to offer a great stay. However with the ‘spa’ being separate and an eye watering £50 for 3 or 4 hours I decided to decline this option (and leave it to the Hen Parties). 「I paid over £200 for one night here. The experience was very poor. I chose it because the hotel is centrally located and has a decent pool. At check-in the receptionist was more interested in talking to her friend than in her customer. The room was clean, but very averagely furnished. Ridiculously, if you chose to use the bath, there is no soap or shampoo within reach (see photo). The dispensers are fixed to the inside shower wall, so you’d have to get out of the bath for soap. 「I stayed here with colleagues whilst attending a corporate golf day. Whilst we ate in the Clubhouse at the organisd BBQ, the food was extremely well prepared and tasted good. The hotel rooms were very clean, fairly spacious with adaquate refreshments on offer. I've stayed here several times and the price reflect the standard of what you get.」
