「Clean room, comfy bed and a good shower. Hallways could have done with a quick vac. Missed second day breakfast but still enough left.」

「Stayed three nights with my wife. Being very close to Wasdale, 40min drive, it is convenient for climbing Mt. Scafell Pike. Room is spacious with a splendid view. One down point is that the pub on the ground floor is sometimes, on Friday evening in particular, noisy. 」

「Room was tired and bed uncomfortable. Car park had no lighting which made it difficult to navigate in the dark.」

「Fine stay.」

「The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay.」

「Good room and staff. Country and sea side view.」

「The hotel was great but getting taxis when there is a large retreat at the Budist temple can be challenging」

「部屋は広くベッドが快適でぐっすり寝られる。部屋の照明がやや暗い。シャワーは水量が少なくもう諦めるしかない。」

「Lady on reception charming」
