「Idea for a single person exploring the south-western Lake District.」

「Overall, a pleasant stay, although there were a few areas that could certainly be improved. Parking was convenient, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the shower was very good. 「Clean room, comfy bed and a good shower. Hallways could have done with a quick vac. Missed second day breakfast but still enough left.」

「Chambre et literie très propres . Chambre spacieuse .」

「The property exceeded my expectation. It's really cozy and I absolutely enjoyed the bowl of goodies. Could do with more utensils, but overall, I'd highly recommend.」

「The apparment was beauiful.very clean and had everything u needed and more.the locaton was perfect everything on your doorstep.snd car park straight across road will be back」

「Clean room good value」

「The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay.」

「Room was tired and bed uncomfortable. Car park had no lighting which made it difficult to navigate in the dark.」

「Stayed three nights with my wife. Being very close to Wasdale, 40min drive, it is convenient for climbing Mt. Scafell Pike. Room is spacious with a splendid view. One down point is that the pub on the ground floor is sometimes, on Friday evening in particular, noisy. 」

「The hotel was great but getting taxis when there is a large retreat at the Budist temple can be challenging」
