Only a 45-minute drive from Cypress (which is great for two toddlers) and has lots to do, including swimming, fishing, games, etc., for the adults and kiddos. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely keep in mind for future getaways.」

The younger crowd stayed in the cottage while the more senior parents/grandparents were in the main house. We attended an engagement party at the The Whistling Duck and the location of the house was perfect.」

「This house is a Victorian gem with many original details including woodwork, transoms, and 14-foot ceilings. Spacious rooms, including bedrooms, where a family or friends can spread out for privacy or gather for meals, games, and conversation. 「This is a beautiful and unique property. Overall we enjoyed our time with family (10 adults, 12 kids under age 11). The pool is not heated, so swimming in May was a bit chilly. The bathroom arrangement is unique with one room that has three toilet closets and a separate room just down the hall with three dorm style showers. The landscape is breathtaking with plenty of room to spread out, and we were able to spot several alligators nearby.」

「It is a good hotel for just stay during long drive on I-10. We had a good sleep. The Mexican restaurant is close. 」

「The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The only issue we had was breakfast. There were a few breakfast items but the coffe was empty and no hit water for tea. We were there a little after 7 but there was no one there. We ended up going to McDonald’s across the street.」
